Cutler and Gross Knightsbridge Green Titanium: The AW25 Collection

Cutler and Gross Knightsbridge Green Titanium: The AW25 Collection

The Cutler and Gross Knightsbridge Green Titanium collection for Autumn/Winter 2025 represents a union of British design heritage and Japanese craftsmanship. Made entirely from Japanese titanium, each piece balances strength, lightness, and refined geometry. Created in Sabae, Japan — a city synonymous with precision metalwork — this line redefines the modern expression of luxury eyewear.

Origin & Craftsmanship

Since 2001, Cutler and Gross has explored titanium as both an artistic and engineering material. The Knightsbridge Green series continues that legacy, shaped by artisans in Sabae using a 300-step process that spans up to eight months. Every frame carries the imprint of meticulous human touch — hand-rolled rim wires, precision welding, and the signature Oyster Pin motif.

Material & Design Philosophy

Titanium’s natural properties — durable, lightweight, corrosion-resistant — make it ideal for refined design. The collection reflects a dialogue between restraint and complexity, blending the fluidity of Art Deco lines with the exactness of modern manufacturing. As stated by Creative Director Alessandro Marcer, “Each frame is sculpted from Japanese titanium in Sabae, a region where precision is a philosophy and artistry is a way of life.”

Aesthetic & Silhouette

The Knightsbridge Green line includes optical and sunglass styles that reinterpret classical forms with technical rigor. Rounded, square, and pantos shapes coexist with linear navigator silhouettes. The collection remains logo-free, highlighting instead the architecture of the frame — where light, proportion, and surface take precedence over ornament.

Aesthetic & Use

The Knightsbridge Green Titanium line is designed for those who view eyewear as an object of design rather than a mere accessory. Lightness, comfort, and balance are optimized for daily wear, without compromising style. The aesthetic remains stripped-back — no overt branding, just quiet luxury and the confidence of perfect execution.

Our Selection — Knightsbridge Green Titanium AW25

Sunglasses

Our selection for the season: Cranley 1425 in Silver / Gold (CGST-1425-48-03).
An evolved interpretation of the classic navigator, the Cranley 1425 showcases the artistry of titanium through the hand of Sabae’s master craftsmen. Influenced by the sculptural forms of British supercars, the frame features the evolved Oyster Pin running through the brow bar and hinges — evoking the filigree of fine jewelry.
Equipped with ZEISS sun lenses, it ensures optimal visual performance and full UV protection. The Cranley line also includes Black / Gold (CGST-1425-48-01) and Jewel Gold (CGST-1425-48-02), offering tonal variations from classic elegance to luminous warmth.

Optical

Our optical highlight: Lennox 1428 in Silver / Gold (CGOT-1428-48-03).
A design associated with thinkers and visionaries, the Lennox 1428 reinterprets the pantos silhouette with refined geometry. Each curve pays tribute to the natural flexibility of Japanese titanium, while the Deco Oyster Pin rim wire, inspired by Art Deco architecture, adds tactile complexity.
Hand-rolled by artisans in Sabae, the Lennox balances strength and delicacy in every millimeter. The model also comes in Black / Gold (CGOT-1428-48-01), Gold (CGOT-1428-48-02), and Pink Gold / Silver (CGOP-GR10-50-04).
