Paloceras x Bo Quinn

Paloceras, the independent eyewear house known for sculptural forms, unveils an unprecedented collaboration with London drag icon Bo Quinn. Together, they transform the ritual of makeup into a high-end textile creation: two silk scarves that fuse art, identity, and optical design.

A Project of Vision, Fashion, and Transformation

At the heart of this collection lies a powerful intention: to explore the boundaries between art, accessory, and performance. Paloceras, celebrated for its avant-garde eyewear, takes a bold step by transposing its aesthetic language into textiles. Drag artist Bo Quinn, known for explosive makeup and theatrical energy, injects intimacy and vibrancy into this shared creation.

Eyewear doesn’t disappear in this project—it becomes visual metaphor. The iconic “Pebble” frames inspired the circular shapes painted on the skin, then transferred onto makeup wipes and finally printed on silk. A way to immortalize an intimate gesture into a lasting accessory.

Paloceras x Bo Quinn : Two Scarves, Two Distinct Identities

The collection features two square scarves with assertive personalities:

Cabaret: Unleashed Joy

“Cabaret” is a visual festival. Red, blue, and yellow collide in raw energy, echoing the playful palettes of the 1990s. It captures the spirit of drag, artistic impulse, and creative instinct. This scarf embodies Bo Quinn’s essence: bold, unapologetic, vibrant.

Whisper: Blue-Toned Poetry

“Whisper,” in contrast, plays with subtlety. Dominated by soft blues and pink highlights, it evokes secrecy, memory, and quiet transmission. A more introspective and dreamlike aesthetic—like a whispered confession.

Each piece is ultra-limited: only 50 copies per model, crafted in 100% silk twill near Lake Como, Italy. With hand-rolled finishes, the scarves are presented in an archival box with silk tissue and a numbered collector’s card.

Intimacy as Creative Material

This project is far from a typical commercial collaboration. It’s a statement on the creative process: what happens in front of a mirror, alone, becomes a fashion object. Bo Quinn used their face as canvas, and makeup wipes as medium. Paloceras transformed those imprints into silk, preserving the raw, emotional texture of the moment.

It’s also a political gesture—bringing drag into unexpected spaces. Turning the ephemeral into the eternal. The everyday into wearable art.

Paloceras Aesthetic, Expanded

This venture into silk doesn’t abandon Paloceras’ optical universe—it expands it. As Mika Matikainen, creative director, states: “We’re not simply building an eyewear brand. This is about imagination, transformation, and creating objects that hold mystery.”

In fact, everything in this collaboration resonates with Paloceras’ values: the pursuit of perfect form, the fusion of technology and craft, the refusal of convention. Eyewear becomes inspiration. Vision becomes texture.

Wearing Identity with Grace

With these scarves, Paloceras and Bo Quinn offer more than just fashion accessories. They propose a way to embody identity, to wear a story, a creative act. Each scarf becomes an extension of performance, ritual, and vision.

Through this capsule collection, Paloceras reaffirms its ambition: to explore the unseen, provoke emotion, and turn every object into a sensory artifact. Eyewear may be the origin—but silk here becomes the medium of a new visual language. Softer, more intimate, yet equally radical.
