Lucas de Staël is a Paris-based eyewear brand known for blending traditional craftsmanship with unconventional materials to create unique, handmade frames.
Lucas de Staël founded Undostrial in 2006 and launched his eponymous brand in 2012. His workshop, located in a former printing house in Paris’s 19th district, functions as both a creative studio and production hub.
His frames combine high-grade surgical steel structures coated with titanium and noble materials like leather, wood, stone, and rare organic elements. Each design is a result of manual craftsmanship and innovative pairing of textures.
The brand offers several collections, each centered on specific materials: leather (Minotaur), stone (Stratus, Petrus), wood (Nemus), and exotic skins (Vivarium, using crocodile or stingray). Each collection has its own distinctive, artisanal character.
The entire design and production process takes place in Paris. Craftspeople, designers, and jewelers develop their own tools and methods in-house. Each frame goes through about 30 handwork steps, with each artisan producing roughly three frames per day.
The brand’s eyewear is handcrafted in its Paris workshop and bears official distinctions such as “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant” and “Fabriqué à Paris,” highlighting its local, high-quality manufacturing excellence.
Lucas de Staël is positioned in the high-end artisan segment, offering artistic, technical frames crafted in limited series with bold identity and unique materials.

The group continues to post sales figures most companies would envy — +11.7% at constant exchange rates in Q3 2025, +11.2% for the full year, and +10.8% again in Q1 2026. Yet over six months, its share price has erased more than 40% […]
What Paloceras built with the Pebble series, then translated into prescription eyewear with Nouvelle Fiction optical, now reaches its third chapter: a sunglasses collection that preserves the house’s sculptural grammar while turning it toward the light. Nouvelle Fiction Sun is not a spin-off. It is a continuation — on its own terms. From Optical to […]
Thirty years after their debut, Oakley Jackets are no longer just evolving. They are redefining what sports eyewear can be — and what it represents. In 1994, Oakley introduced a frame that didn’t exist before. Wraparound, bold, engineered not to please but to perform. In 2026, that same mindset expands into a broader vision: a […]
