Akoni Eyewear is the luxury eyewear brand of Switzerland’s AKN Group (formerly Akoni Group). Every frame is made in Japan, championing “Swiss Precision and Japanese Artistry.”
Akoni Eyewear launched in 2021 within a Swiss group founded in 2019. On June 2, 2025, Akoni Group rebranded to AKN Group and announced the acquisition of Götti Switzerland and premium lens maker Eyetech. The portfolio includes Akoni, Balmain Eyewear and Valentino Eyewear, now joined by Götti and Eyetech. Sven Götti joins the board and continues to lead Götti’s creative direction.
Akoni relies on Japanese acetate (from renewable wood and cotton, with an extended production cycle) and titanium. The brand favors clean silhouettes, functional detailing (knurlings, titanium tips) and a circle‑in‑square emblem celebrating its Swiss–Japanese roots.
Both optical and sun collections are offered, structured around Optima, Etere, Horizon and Delta, with highlights such as The Stars, Collection IX and The Horn Series.
Designed in Switzerland and crafted in Japan by expert artisans. Documented features include ceramic nose pads on beta‑titanium arms, engineered screws/hinges, and CR‑39 lenses on select models with anti‑reflective coatings. The “Made in Japan” page states renewable acetate inputs and a doubled production time for longevity. No comprehensive corporate sustainability policy is published on the pages consulted.
Sold via the official online store and a curated international retailer network listed in the Store Locator.
A discreet luxury position: Japanese manufacturing, premium materials (titanium, Japanese acetate) and restrained branding—within the AKN Group portfolio.

Thirty years after their debut, Oakley Jackets are no longer just evolving. They are redefining what sports eyewear can be — and what it represents.
